The only option I'm aware of if you must have consistently sized panels is to put all of your text into an image. And either option would be unideal for someone on mobile who sees only one column.
So it won't look right to people seeing four columns if you add three transparent PNGs, or to people seeing three columns if you add four transparent PNGs.
